Doors 12pm, Screening 1pm

Have you been feeling a deep sense of disconnection between what is happening in the world and how society acknowledges it…or doesn’t? How politicians , the media, and everyday life feels completely out of synch with reality?

The old systems are no clearly longer working. All the while, life seems to be going on as …normal…

The term for this is HYPERNORMALIZATION

Join us this Sunday, February 8, at CO-OPt Research + Projects for a screening of Adam Curtis’s film HyperNormalisation (2016). In this masterpiece quasi-documentary-as-theoretical text, with found footage plumbed from the depths of the BBC archives, a sick soundtrack, and eerie juxtapositions of image and narrative, Curtis attempts to explain how we got to this stage.
